The Wool Hub began with the Woolly Nanas. Noni Mackenzie, Rita Pearson and Ruth Chadwick, three talented crafts women working in spinning, felting, weaving and dyeing, offering workshops to people in and around the town. As interest grew, the Woolly Nanas attracted funding to set up a not-for-profit wool community arts and craft centre and The Wool Hub was born.

The Wool Hub is a friendly, open space for people of all ages and skill levels who would like to practice and/or develop their skills in wool arts and crafts, or to have a go at trying something new, hosted by the Woolly Nanas and their lovely associates.

We welcome and share knowledge on the origins of wool, the materials it creates, and its many uses and applications.

Donations of fleeces, wool, crafting equipment and materials are always gratefully received.
